Grey & Brown Thin Stripes
Grey & Brown Thin Stripes
For our 100% MOHAIR rugs, we use only hand-spun wool from Angora goats, left undyed to preserve its natural beauty. This luxurious fiber is available in five rich natural colors: white, grey, camel, brown, and black.
We create our rugs using an ancient technique to produce a faux animal hair pile, a method once widespread among nomads in Central Asia. After the mohair is washed and spun, the weaving process begins. Once the weaving is complete, the flat weave is carefully brushed and washed with a special brush to enhance texture and quality.
Because of their lightness, strength, and ease of folding, flat-weave rugs were among the most cherished possessions of ancient tent civilizations.
This type of mohair weave was primarily used as bedding, similar to a blanket.
Nowadays, these rugs are no longer limited to use as blankets—they can also serve as wall hangings, pillows, lap rugs, throws, bedspreads, scatter rugs, or large area rugs.
We advise using a cushioned, non-slip rug pad to prevent slipping and provide generous cushioning.

Care & Tips:
Shake out dust and vacuum gently—avoid using a rotating vacuum brush.
We suggest hand washing with lukewarm water (max 30°C) and mild wool detergent.
Very gently squeeze out excess water, carefully reshape the rug, and hang to dry away from direct heat.
To maintain the distinctive comb design on the hairy surface, professional dry cleaning is recommended.
Produced with respect for the environment and people, without any child labor involved.
Our Mohair rugs are entirely handmade using premium quality materials and may show slight variations and imperfections. These differences are distinctive features of each unique piece. Thank you for supporting and buying HANDMADE!
