For our 100% MOHAIR rugs, we use only hand-spun wool from Angora goats, left undyed to preserve its natural beauty. This luxurious fiber comes in five rich natural colors: white, grey, camel, brown, and black.

For your custom-made striped rug, you can choose any combination of these colors.

Our rugs are crafted using an ancient technique to create a faux animal hair pile, a method widely used by nomads across Central Asia. After washing and spinning, the mohair is woven into a flat weave. Once the weaving is complete, the rug is carefully brushed and washed with a special brush.

Thanks to their lightness, durability, and ease of folding, flat-weave rugs were among the most treasured possessions of ancient tent-dwelling cultures. This type of mohair weave was primarily used as bedding, much like a blanket.

Today, these versatile rugs are not limited to blanket use—they can also serve as wall hangings, pillows, lap rugs, throws, bedspreads, scatter rugs, or large area rugs.

We recommend using a cushioned non-slip rug pad to prevent slipping and to provide generous cushioning.

Care & Tips:

• Shake out dust and vacuum gently—avoid using a rotating vacuum brush.

• We recommend hand washing with lukewarm water (max 30°C) and mild wool detergent.

• Gently squeeze out excess water, reshape the rug carefully, and hang to dry away from direct heat.

• To maintain the distinctive combed design on the textured surface, professional dry cleaning is recommended.
