Chiaroschuri - Black & White Mohair Rug

Our exquisite mohair rugs are made exclusively from hand-spun wool of Angora goats, left in its natural state without any dyeing. This luxurious fiber boasts five rich natural colors: white, grey, camel, brown, and black.

You can mix and match any of these colors to create your custom CHIAROSCHURI rug.

We use an ancient weaving technique, traditional among nomadic peoples of Central Asia, which recreates the look and feel of animal hair pile. After washing and spinning, the mohair is woven into a flat weave, then carefully brushed and washed to ensure quality.

Thanks to their lightness, strength, and ease of folding, flat-weave rugs like these were highly prized possessions in ancient tent-dwelling civilizations, primarily used as blankets for sleeping.

Today, these versatile rugs can serve as wall hangings, cushions, lap rugs, throws, bedspreads, scatter rugs, or large area rugs.

We recommend using a cushioned, non-slip rug pad to prevent slipping and provide extra comfort.

Care Instructions

• Shake out dust and vacuum gently without a rotating brush.

• We suggest hand washing with lukewarm water (max 30°C) and mild wool detergent.

• Gently squeeze out excess water, reshape the rug, and air dry away from direct heat.
